FISHING SNORKELING COMBO

Flamingo Beach Fishing and Snorkeling Tour

Enjoy a day on the Pacific Ocean combining two of the best water activities in Playa Potrero.

We begin your day fishing for snapper, rooster fish, mahi mahi and tuna. You will be trolling and bottom fishing around the Catalina Islands and other underwater rock structures where pacific game fish can be found. Your captain and mate will do there very best to put you on a fish you'll remember for a lifetime.

After a few hours of fishing your captain will bring you snorkeling to a beautiful secluded beach along the Costa Rican coast. Your expert snorkeling guide will be in the water with you pointing out marine life and ensuring your safety at all times no matter your experience level. The shallow waters and white sand beach make great visibility for spotting tropical fish, rays, turtles, star fish, and other marine creatures.

Life jackets, fishing gear, snorkeling gear, fresh fruit, snacks, water, sodas, and juices are provided on the boat.

Everything You Need to Know About the Flamingo Beach Fishing and Snorkeling Tour

Unlike large group catamaran tours in the area, the Flamingo Beach fishing and snorkeling combo is an intimate private boat experience with a dedicated captain, mate, and snorkeling guide focused entirely on your group. You get the best of both worlds — trolling and bottom fishing the Catalina Islands for roosterfish, mahi mahi, tuna, and snapper in the morning, followed by snorkeling at a secluded beach along the Costa Rican Pacific coast that most visitors never get to see.

Yes! The Playa Potrero fishing and snorkeling combo runs twice daily — a morning tour from 7 AM to 11 AM and an afternoon tour from 1 PM to 5 PM. The afternoon tour is especially popular for catching the golden hour light on the water and is a great option for guests who prefer a relaxed start to their day. Both tours include 4.5 hours on the Pacific Ocean with all gear, snacks, and drinks provided.

The waters around Playa Potrero and the Catalina Islands are home to some of the best inshore sport fishing on Costa Rica's Gold Coast. On the fishing portion of the tour your captain and mate will target roosterfish, mahi mahi, jacks, mackerel, yellowfin tuna, and red snapper using both trolling and bottom fishing techniques around underwater rock structures near the Catalina Islands — one of the most productive fishing zones in all of Guanacaste.

After fishing, your captain will take you to a beautiful secluded beach accessible only by boat — a hidden gem along the Guanacaste coastline that most tourists never discover. Your expert snorkeling guide will be in the water with you helping you spot tropical fish, manta rays, sea turtles, starfish, and other Pacific marine creatures in shallow waters, as well as whales and dolphins along the way. It's one of the most unique and uncrowded snorkeling experiences available near Playa Flamingo and Playa Potrero.

Absolutely! The Playa Potrero combo tour is designed for all experience levels. Your professional snorkeling guide stays in the water with you at all times, making it completely safe and enjoyable even for first-timers. Non-fishing guests can relax on the boat, take in the stunning Pacific Ocean views, and enjoy the fresh fruit, snacks, sodas, and juices provided onboard while the anglers in the group work the lines. It's the perfect half-day water adventure for families, couples, and groups visiting Guanacaste.
