Take in breathtaking panoramic views from both inland along the
shoreline, as well as the open waters of the Pacific Ocean. Named
for the over 400 miles of coastline, the Gold Coast provides
different types of picturesque beaches, each offering their own
unique features that you can explore as you cruise around on this
guided ATV tour. We will depart Playa Potrero at 8:30 a.m giving your
experienced guide time to show you 5 different local beaches:
Playa Prieta, Playa Penca, Playa Potrero, Playa Brasilito, and
Playa Flamingo. On this local scenic tour you will get a feel for
why the country is named after the richness of its coastline.
We will make sure to get you back to your hotel around noon so you
can have time to change, shower, and prepare for an incredible
afternoon seeing the coastline from a new point of view. We
suggest bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, and a towel,
everything else will be provided for you on the Catamaran. From
drinks and food, to the snorkeling gear; so you can just relax and
enjoy.
You'll be starting your catamaran cruise from the Flamingo Marina
and begin sailing around the incredible Catalina Islands, these
islands are volcanic rock formations that have some of the best
snorkeling and diving in Costa Rica. Once you’ve sailed around the
islands, your Capitan will take you to a great snorkeling spot
where he'll be anchored on a secluded beach. Here you’ll have an
opportunity to explore the clear pacific waters with a guide in
search of tropical fish, rays, star fish and maybe even sea
turtles. While you’re working up an appetite playing in the water,
the crew will prepare a fresh lunch for you to sit, and enjoy
while taking in the beautiful surroundings. As you begin the
return trip to the Marina remember to keep your eyes open for
potential sightings of whales, dolphins, and manta ray as the sun
disappears into the horizon. If you’ve never experienced a sunset
on the Pacific Ocean you are in for an unforgettable memory. Bring

Our ATV and Catamaran combo tour includes a 2.5 hour guided ATV tour along the Guanacaste Gold Coast, a sunset catamaran cruise from Flamingo Marina, snorkeling equipment, life jackets, fresh lunch, all drinks and refreshments on board, and round trip hotel transportation. It's one of the most complete full day adventure tours available in Flamingo Beach and Potrero. There is a 48 hour cancellation policy for the catamaran portion of the tour.

The ATV portion is beginner friendly with a full safety briefing provided before departure, and the catamaran cruise is a relaxing, family friendly sailing experience suitable for all ages. For the morning ATV tour we recommend closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dusty, sunglasses, and sunscreen. For the afternoon catamaran cruise bring a swimsuit, towel, hat, and a light cover up for the sail back at sunset. A valid driver's license or passport is required for all ATV drivers. Everything else including snorkeling gear, life jackets, lunch, and all drinks and refreshments are provided on board the catamaran.
The Catalina Islands and surrounding coastline are among the best snorkeling and diving spots in Costa Rica. On your catamaran cruise you can expect to encounter tropical fish, manta rays, starfish, and sea turtles. On the return sail to Flamingo Marina keep an eye out for dolphins, humpback whales, and manta rays as the Pacific sunset fills the sky.
The ATV portion kicks off at 8:30am from Playa Potrero, with your guide returning you to your hotel around noon to shower and prepare. Catamaran pickup is at 1:30pm, departing from Flamingo Marina for the afternoon sunset cruise. The full day combo wraps up at the marina after sunset around 6:00pm, making it the perfect sunrise to sunset Guanacaste adventure.
