surf lessons in playa grande costa rica

Surf Lessons

This two hour surfing adventure will bring you to waves at either Playa Grande or Tamarindo depending on your experience level. If you’re a beginner our instructor will give you a detailed, hands-on, lesson on the proper techniques for navigating the swell on these idyllic Costa Rican beaches. In fact these beaches are so pristine they were featured in the Endless Summer documentary. Surfers travel from all over the world to catch a wave in Guanacaste, and our professional instructors will have you surfing by the end of your lessons no matter your experience level. Imagine the thrill of standing up on a surfboard and the exhilaration of riding it to shore.

If you are a beginner we recommend starting in Playa Grande. The sand is more forgiving if you fall, and it is far less crowded. We also suggest bringing sunscreen, water, and a towel. Though refreshments are offered, extra water never hurts. We also offer transportation from the Flamingo, Brasilito, and Potrero beach areas.
