The law in Costa Rica requires all drivers to have a valid drivers licence from their home country or Costa Rica. Your passport or a copy of it will also be required to be on your person at all times while operating a ATV on our Potrero 4x4 tours. Children are allowed to ride tandem with adults. 80% of our clients on our ATV Tours have not driven an ATV before. Our expert guides will take the proper amount of time that is necessary before the tour starts, to give you a proper safety demonstration, and lesson on operating your ATV safely. It's a tour not a rally, we will drive at the speed we think is safe based on your experience level. The safety of our clients always comes first.

The country has many different micro climates making the weather patterns differ as you travel throughout Costa Rica. Where we are located in Potrero Beach our dry season runs from November through April with little to no rain, from May - August we start getting normal amounts of rain again with the odd heavy storm, September and October are the 2 months with the highest chance of bad weather. These months accumulate about 60% of the annual rainfall in the Province. The most beautiful time to visit Guanacaste is mid November - mid December as its raining very little at this time and the countryside is still green and lush.

Costa Rica has one of the lowest infection and death rates on the planet, the measures taken by the government were quick and stern to stop the spread. The healthcare system and professionals have done an excellent job handling this pandemic. Statistics as of May 26th were 930 infected 620 recovered 10 deaths. The tourism industry and many other sectors have been deeply impacted by the Corona-virus in Costa Rica, with no international flights coming in, it was a quick end to our great high season. We are all ready to get back to work safely, and welcome the tourists back to Costa Rica when its safe to do so. It's unclear when flights will return but the country has lifted some restrictions to slowly start reopening the country.
